Instead of welding, I suggest you contact Trevor/TrePaul86. He and I got together and made an ALOT stronger front bumper bracket for the 3" BL. It's 1/4" thick carbon steel that's CNC Plasma cut. The PA is less than 3/16" thick and is a weaker material. IDK his prices, but Marie's truck has 'em and so does mine and it's a world of difference. They'll never bend. The PA's like to bend just by tightening the bolts tight.

Or...instead of that, you could do what Trevor did to his: Cut up a piece of angle iron...bolted it to that bolt people use for lite tabs, and welded the other side to the frame. Before his bumper would jump and wiggle everywhere with the added weight of the prerunner light bar thing.......not anymore. Solid as hell!
ya he mentioned those brackets. I'm pretty interested inthem so I asked if he has some pics
