I am replacing the valve body gasket in my transmission this weekend. I have already changed filter and fluid and still have the same symptoms. Car is slow to go into drive or will not but if I shift into first it will go into gear. If I have been driving and stop at a light it almost always takes off in drive no problem. Usually only have this problem when first starting up. Sometimes engagues in gear really hard no matter what gear I start off in. Also pretty consistant that if I shift into drive at startup it will not engage and engine will rev up without moving and if I then let off of gas and wait the car will enague in drive in a few seconds.

Going to try changing the valve body gasket. Is there anything else I should change once in there?
