For a year and a half now I have searched for a red 1997 ranger.

Today after all this time, never giving up..... someone answered the ad on Craiglist. I got EXACTLY what I wanted. A red 1997 five speed with grey interior and as a bonus.... stepside. I'm totally with it. As with all used trucks it needed gutting and cleaning so I'll give you a few starter shots from a minute ago where I got it gutted, but the "clear" pics worth seeing will be tomorrow as I clean build it.

The dash had to be pulled because there was 14 years of dirt all the way to the smallest crevice of the truck. Tomorrows pics will be much clearer, iphones aren't worth a crap in low light.

I also re-bulbed the entire dash. There is nothing like the indiglo blue of the 1997 dash, only in that year. It was aqua in 1995 and 1996. Perfect indiglo Timex Blue in 97.





LOOK at the dust on the radio for an idea........







This indiglo blue was a '97 thing. I worked at a local dealer in 1997 and these dashes were so much cooler to look at than the green and aqua of other years.
