Default No Fluid to Rear Brakes?!

Here is the deal. I have seen similar posts on here and other places that got close to what I need, but nothing exact.

I bought my Ranger in October and have been driving it. The ABS and Brake lights came on so I checked the fluid level and it was low. This happened 2 more times so I pulled the tires off one at a time and found the problem.

The line leading to the driver side rear brake was snapped and leaking fluid so I repaired it, checked the other tires, and changed the shoes (front pads were good). When we went to bleed the brakes, NO FLUID WOULD COME TO THE BACK BRAKE LINES. We pumped and bled over and over again.

There was fluid being sent there before because it was leaking fluid.

Some solutions I have found are replace/clean proportional valve, replace/clean ABS valve, gravity bleed overnight, bleed the front brakes to open the valve for fluid to go to the back.

Any suggestions are useful. If it does happen to be the proportional valve or the rear line distribution (or ABS valve), where is it located.

While doing the brake work, I had the help of my grandfather who owned a brake shop for 25 years. He said he had similar issues before but a long time ago when it was an equillizer valve. He doesn't think they use them anymore.

Thanks Guys
