The lighter plug I have my interior underglow wired into that and that is wired onto a switch so I can turn it on and off when needed. My 12 volt plug I have my actual underglow spliced into that but is not wired to a switch so when I turn my parking lights on, I turn my underglow on using the control box given and it will turn on. I don't think there's no wires touching anything but maybe too much amp/voltage running through those wires??
