This is what i do.

Clean Engine/Shine
Clean Tires and Wheels/shine
Wash/Dry
Clean Door/Trunk Jams
Clean Interior with all purpose cleaner, stains, scuffs, etc.
Vacuum
Shine Door Jams
Shine Dash/Door Panels
Shine any black plastic trim on exterior
Stand back and admire
