Nope not exactly. A glass pack muffler has fiberglass packed inside of the muffler case. So far Cherry Bomb and Patriot Exhaust systems are the kings of those types of mufflers. If someone picks the wrong one the fiber glass packing that supposed to absorb the sound will "burn out". I've also seen some people take an aceteline rosebud torch and burn the fiber glass out to make it louder.
