It is no longer something you can disconnect like the older generations. Either a dealer has to plug in and reprogram them to be off. Or you can unhook and ground the wire on the parking brake pedal. The DRL's shut off when you put on the brake. But since you have a manual, that function might be more important to you.
Where did you get that info? I tried asking a dealership and we looked in the technical manuals, they couldn't find if it was reduced or pulse.
