i have a 02 ranger 2.3, blown motor. what years can i interchange the motor for another 2.3. i kno a 97 that was rolled, and only has 90k on the motor. will that work?

I'm interested in buying a particular part off of your blown motor.

the 02 and the 97 2.3's are two completly different engines, you would need a 01 and up 2.3, its possible to put the 97 2.3 in it but you would need all the wiring, computer and not sure what else but you would end up with less power and less mpg's so you wouldnt want to do it
