Default Help with oil problem 99 Ranger

Total loss of power, oil spewing on top drivers side engine and dripping underneath.

How many miles? What engine? Any codes? Any other symptoms? Never heard of a clogged pcv causing oil too blow everywhere, but am a firm believer anything's possible as well.

About 50,000 miles on it. 3.0,V6. A mechanic told me he thinks it may be the Oxygenated Emmision Control Valve?
