ranger won't start. help please.
So after putting oil and gas in my 2000 2.5 ranger and driving about 3 miles it began to lose power to the engine and stalled out. I was able to start it back up and drive another 5 miles. Before it stopped running again.
By spraying ether into the air intake It will start long enough to burn off the ether.
I replaced the fuel filter and my pressure in the line will go up to 62. I have to use the ether starting method to get it that high.
I have new ignition coils wires and plugs.
The check engine light is not on but my oil gage doesn't work so maybe that doesn't either? Anyway I hooked a computer to it and it wasn't compatible with reading the following: catalyst monitor, oxygen sensor monitor, oxygen sensor heater monitor and exhaust gas recirculation.
This truck has been leaking oil since I got it in december and it's hitting the belts and that's causing it to get sprayed around. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you got bad gas. Try adding drygas or sta-bil

I filled up at a speedway with 18 pumps If that was the case I'm sure it would be on the news.

Some people like to beat themselves up! Not much more we can do. Anyone that will at least not add sta-bil, etc to their tank in this situation is confused.

Never said I wouldn't try it.... explained that it wasn't a small town two pump gas station. I filled up around 6pm and had to wait in line for the pump. It would be very strange for me not to see any other cars on the road broke down if bad gas was the issue.

I agree but stranger things have happened and it is weird that your truck died 3 miles after fueling up.
----------
Also you have fuel pressure and it starts with starter fluid.
