Flywheel Replacement

Might be a simple answer. But what all is needed to replace the flywheel? Thought the starter was bad but the teeth are pretty much gone. It's a 96 2.3 5 Speed.

flywheel and id get new bolts as well...is your truck a stick?

Yes it's a manual 5 speed. Just don't know if I need to replace the clutch and everything because it was just replaced.

Order the flywheel from rock auto.

There is might as wells also.

-clutch
-slave (highly recommend)
-rear main seal

So wait you replaced the clutch and did nothing with the flywheel in the first place.

The shop resurfaced it, didnt replace it.

thats the technical term for the ring on the flywheel that the starter engages

Ah I see. I thought he was referring to the ring gear in the pumpkin.
