My 2001 2.3L boils over when I turn off the engine. I replaced the thermostat, radiator cap, and replaced the radiator with new coolant. I am dumbstruck with this problem, any thoughts or ideas out there???:
Does it boil over to the over flow and are you using all coolant and not a mix 50/50 if you have the 50/50 premix then you must add two jugs, if you use straight anti-freeze you can add water. Thermostat should be a 195 any lower and it wont close the water keeps circulating ( a bad thing if your in a lot of traffic) also your radiator might be clogged you might need it to get acid washed (dipped) well hope this helps if it boils over all the time when running then the head gasket might be getting ready to blow but it doesnt sound like it

The radiator is new, but I believe I found the problem. The coolant tank I found a crack in it. With the crack it won't hold the pressure needed. Now I have to find a tank for it, it's a dealer only item and they charge 3X what it's worth.
