On my way to work this morning I was cruising at about 70mph then all of a sudden i felt a quick slip so i threw it in neutral and tried to put the trans back into gear well it wouldn't go so i pulled over and let the trans wind down and tried again nothing happened it would go into gear and not move it also shifts with out the clutch engaged i have no gears not even reverse i am very confused as it happened suddenly with no loud noise or thump i just notice the rpms suddenly rise and i instantly threw it out of gear and stopped i did have my cruise control activated at the time as well i don't know if that matters or not I have been told it is the clutch, slave cylinder, clutch fork, throwout bearing or input shaft now that being said before this happened i started to notice a whining noise in my trans about 2 weeks ago and since i was in between paychecks i put it off any help would be awesome the truck is a 93 ford ranger (obviously) 2wd XLT with a 2.3 4cyl 5speed trans you can email me as well at
