Hard to start, help
I have a 94 Ranger w/ 2.3L motor. It is hard to start, when I get it started it stumbles like as if it is hitting on 2 or 3 cylinders. When it does start it revs up high to 1500rpm’s or so then it comes down to normal rpm. The motor runs great except getting it started. I have changed plugs, wires, fuel filter. I scaned it for codes and got back EGR stuck open or closed, I fixed that and it is still doing the same thing. The codes I am getting now are 116, 118, and 452. 116 and 118 are engine coolant temp sensor (ECT) signal voltage too high or too low. Code 452 vehicle speed sensor (VSS) signal too small is from continuous memory. The self test I am doing is key off engine off (KOEO). Can anyone help me with this problem, thanks.
