I have a 94 Ranger w/ 2.3L motor. It is hard to start, when I get it started it stumbles like as if it is hitting on 2 or 3 cylinders. When it does start it revs up high to 1500rpm’s or so then it comes down to normal rpm. The motor runs great except getting it started. I have changed plugs, wires, fuel filter. I scaned it for codes and got back EGR
stuck open or closed, I fixed that and it is still doing the same thing. The codes I am getting now are 116, 118, and 452. 116 and 118 are engine coolant temp sensor (ECT
) signal voltage too high or too low. Code 452 vehicle speed sensor (VSS
) signal too small is from continuous memory. The self test I am doing is key off engine off (KOEO
). Can anyone help me with this problem, thanks.
