I have a 2010 4 cyl Ranger just normal driving. What Oil do you recommend? Planning on doing the oil change my self.

I use Mobil 5000 or any Mobil oil. Most of the oil brands are made by the Ashland Oil company anyhow.

Amsoil all the way! I use the 25K or yearly oil with the extended life oil filter from Amsoil.

I am not looking for an argument but I would never do that to my car. I understand amsoil is a good product. I do not believe it is effective for 25k miles.

I agree with the not going 25,000 miles without an oil change. too much, i could possibly see 7,000 but even that is a push!
