Default p0136 and p0171. cant pass smog help

so i had the p0136 code for a while and 3 months ago i replaced the downstream o2 sensor and then reset the code. a month later i had the same code and have ignored it since. then i recently got a p0171 and that code has come on and off and dont know what it could be. my truck runs fine and doesnt have a rough idle or stalling problems. i need help with this one because i dont want to go out and waste money on parts and then those parts dont fix the problem. and i cant pass smog either.

seems to point to a bad O2 sensor on bank 1 or passenger side

Here's some "no cost" things you can try first,

Clean the MAF sensor and see if that gets rid of the p0171 code,

Next clean the connectors for the downstream o2 sensor and see if that brings the voltage up. Now keep in mind that the O2 sensor after the CAT is only a monitor of what it's doing, it's has nothing to do with fuel trims...The voltage of the downstream O2 should be real close to .5 volts and no wide swings....if the voltage does fluctuate, then your CAT is on it's way out..

Your lucky you have a Ultra gage so you can read live data, this going to help you alot !!

I think my problem with my truck is my catalytic converter because earlier this year I had a misfire on cylinder 3 and I drove about 25 miles with a bad coil and I read that having a misfire will damage the cat

found out what the problem was. It was a hose going into the intake that had cracks and hold it. also the Bosch o2 sensor that I put in there was the piece of shit and it was causing it my run lean code, so they threw a Motorcraft in there. Trusting Motorcraft product from now on
