so dont cry about it do the coil pack swap with the 2 that you have. simply swap the 2 that you have and post results of that change,
i had a similar issue before and checked coil pack and the firing side was newer(not motorcraft) and the exhaust side was motorcraft and clearly older than the other one. i swapped them and my problems went away. shortly after i replaced the made in china autozone one for a motorcraft one also

I've seen listings saying this motor is supposed to get about 25mpg which is what i was expecting. Anyway i was slowing down at a stop light and the truck wanted to stall out but instead idled very low about 300rpm. When i pressed the gas it smoothed out so i continued to head to the gas station to fuel up. Once i fueled up and went to start the truck again it started harder than usual and had no power what-so-ever. I ended up limping the truck to the nearest parking lot and left it there until the afternoon. I have replaced fuel injectors, plugs, wires, cleaned the iac, cleaned the maf, put dry gas in the tank in case it was water, tried coils off of a working ranger with the same motor and still no luck. if anyone has a clue what it may be please let me know because i am pretty much lost. it has 99,400 miles on it if that helps, thank you. youtube video of problems: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1CzU4ahEDc sorry about the book of a post.

For future members reading this:
If the OP had told us his situation from the beginning.........ie. no money and a p0302 and p0303..we would have told him it was not the injectors....and that he should replace the 2 spark plugs and swap the wires around to see if the code followed the wire......that would have cost about $5.....instead he spent $150 on injectors, wires and plugs.......He would have had the $3 to buy a MM from Harbor freight.....and he could have swapped his own coils..........before you start anything......post your issues and then listen to the consensus of the posts.....

Next time say that,we didnt know what your situation was as far as cash goes.We can't read minds.
No one can solve their vehicle problems unless they explain their situation to us.If people did this they wouldn,t get any bullshit from anyone.

You are wise in your posts.
All you ask is for them to give information.

hello, yes i know this is an old thread however i would like to share what it ended up being. i did all the coil pack swaps and all that electronics mess. it ended up being the head gasket blown between cylinders 2 and 3 causing loss of compression to each cylinder. it was pushing compression back and forth causing this missfire sending the codes.
