2.3 swap into a 98 oil pan issue

ok ready to put it in
now it appears an oil pan cross member issue
will find out soon
any experience out there with this one?

ok im in the middle of this
98 ranger had the 2.5 that i will rebuild this winter
donor is a 96 2.3
used all wires and sensors off 2.5
water neck issued solved with 3/8" galv pipe and a tee
changed water temp sensor on block to a straight line connector
now the issue at hand

the pan on the 2.3 looks too deep for the 98 cross member
oil pan gaskets look entirely different so i fear the 2.5 pan wont bolt on to the 2.3 nicely as everything else
i will try to drop it in the ranger with the 2.3 pan on it first
if it don't fit then second ill try to swop pans or third hack up the 2.3 pan and heli arc it back together
if you have any experience
please let me know to save me any effort

Well sorry if i am posting wrong or doing this Wrong
i am new to the forum
This is what I found out tonight
My fear was wasted
no extra cost no heli arc no pan gasket
It fit set rite down on the mounts
no problem
lots of room
I will keep posting on how it goes and what snags i have
