Default Clutch questions

My 99 b2500's clutch catches real high (125k), I would say within the last 2-3 inches of pedal. I also know the slave is acting up because it squeaks about 1/2 the time I engage the clutch. How high on the pedal do your clutches start to catch? Its not slipping at all in any gear, but I know its on its way out. Any idea on what its going to cost for clutch, slave, and labor?

Doing a clutch on a NS engine is really easy. That friend of yours who built the twin turbo Mazda 6 should have no problems with this if he really did that project. Just have him do it.

I would love to but he lives 5 hrs away. I am thinking of trying it myself, but don't really have the time.

Talking Re: Clutch questions

new to here don't know where to post this problem. i have a 1993 ford ranger xlt with a 2.3 4 speed with overdrive. it is getting harder to shift from first to second and from second to first. was wondering if this is clutch problem or a tranny problem. it has about i think 194,00 miles on it. any advice would be appreciated.
