Default Idle air control valve

Folks,

My RPM is way to high. I read that I must clean the IAC. Where is it? I can find nothing like as pictured in the Rockauto catalog. Looking from the front of the engine where would it be? 86 2.3

It is located at the infeed or top side of the throttle body. Held on by two bolts and has a electrical connection at one end.

I have a real early Fuel injection. There is a fitting with a electrical connection on the inlet side - could this be it? It faces the front. See attached

I had an idle problem, real low sometimes on start up, so I took mine off and cleaned it. Good for a week or so, did it again last night. So I bought a new one, 40 bucks, hope it solves it.......

hes talking about the body of the valve, looks like a d battery.
it bolts to the throttle body with 2 bolts and has a electrical connector.....
the bottom bolt is a little tough but it comes off pretty easily.....
