Default Idler Pulley Hardware Question

I just replaced the serpentine belt & auto tensioner and Idler pulley on my '96 Ranger 2.3l. The new idler pulley didn't come with new hardware and I wasn't paying attention when I took the old pulley off. There is a washer of sorts that came off the old idler pulley and I'm not sure which side of the pulley it goes on. It's NOT a flat washer, it's kind cupped and I'm not quite sure how it goes. There was also a retainer clip for the bolt that holds it centered in the pulley, which I know goes on the back side of the pulley. If anyone is familiar with where and how the washer or whatever it is goes on I would be most grateful.

Thanks,
Mike

Default Hello

I just changed my tensioner assembly, Idler Pulley? I'm not finding any pics on where that is located.. Mine still squeals after changing the tensioner.
CRAP. I cannot tell exactly where it's coming from. Praying it's not the clutch fan which I think it might be...

But. I do know that when I changed the tensioner the washer went on the outside the rubber retainer clip went on the back as you said.

I would THINK that the washer would cup inwards, so as to lie flush against the assembly, possibly further helping the bolt alignment. But I am not a professional by any means.

Interested to find out where this idler pulley is, as mine pulls a bit at idle speed.

I'll keep searching!

Hope this helps?
