Well here it is im looking to buy a ranger and i just found a great price on a 2001 ranger edge 3.0 auto trans... The problem being im really in the market for a 2.3 duratech 5spd manual.. Now i know this sounds crazy but is this do-able? I know basically im looking at needing a donor truck as from what ive read ill need all the clutch hydraulics, motor/trans, ecu and wiring harness.

My questions-

What year 2.3 dura will work in a 01 or does the year even matter?
What else is involved? motor mounts, driveshaft? can i use the 3.0 fuel pump and all of that?
