Exclamation Need help asap, no time before ranger gets towed! Ranger bros unite!

had eectrical problems in the past, changed alternator, starter, plugs, wires, battery mounts, and everything was perfect again. ground wire (plug-in) on alternator kept coming undone, may be part of my problem. When i try to start it, battery and check oil light comes on, like always, clicks, hear fuel pump working, but doesn't turn over.... Could this mean it's either the Battery or Starter? everything else is fine. need opinions QUICK, if possible and you've had this problem in the past or know the solution don't be afrain to 'text' (at work) me @ 417-230-3162. don't have cash to pay inpound lot that's 60 miles away. have 2 week old infant at my house and my fiance with no food, NEED my truck working again. trying to enduce the stress i'm going through to you guys. Please help

Have you tried jump or push starting it?

if so are healights, radio etc fully powered and functioning?

I'd look towards the starter, it's wiring or the relay (as above poster said) if won't jump /push start and seems to be fully powered.

also on that loose alternator connector is there any fair amount of internal corrosion on the pins?

except for the starter seeing as how you already replaced it not to long ago.

defective ones, or sometimes underlying problems cause replacements to fail

It might seem simple, but I had an issue very similar a few weeks ago and after I got a chance to look at it, the battery terminals were simply corroded and not making a good connection. Try cleaning those off and making sure they are good and snug.

I replaced the starter on my truck with a duralast gold one. Within 6 weeks the teeth sheared off the gear inside. Just that fast. Couldn't hurt to double check.

For what it's worth, the built in solenoid on the starter has a small signal wire leading to it. The terminal end is typically the culprit in situations like this... The same exact thing happened to me. I described in my texts to you what you needed to get and how to fix it, but if that isn't the winner, try everything else I sent you. I am willing to bet the starter is good and the wire is bad. Replace the terminal end (cutting as close as possible to it) and try to start it.

If not, have someone help you push start it so you can get home and diagnose.
