Question whistle while accelerating

my manual 4 cyl. Ford Ranger 1998 truck recently in the past few days has developed a whistle/whine when I accelerate and it will slow down when I deaccelerate.

It whistles/whines when accelerating in neutral as well as in any gear, especially 1st and 2nd.

I've replaced the serpentine belt, as well as the tensioner and idler and it is not coming from that area...
It also isn't coming from the drive shaft or U joints.

Whether I have the clutch depressed or not doesn't matter. Either way it will still whistle/whine

It sounds like it is coming from the bottom of the engine

Anybody have any ideas of what I could possibly look at?
