Default Battery Light Came ON

So last night It was raining out and i spun my tires in 2nd gear for a while, and then my battery light came on. The night before I left my key on and drained my battery, and had to jump it. What could this be? What is it caused from? How do i fix it?

in the past on 2 cars when battery light came on during the rain it was the alternater. that being said you could check and clean all battery terminals, etc, check the battery.

I would 1st check your alternator/Serpentine belt 1st. It may be a little loose or need replacing.

If your belt is squeaking then it's slipping. You probably will need a new belt if you have 90,000 or more miles on the belt. here's how to fix it. Yes you can do it yourself.
