You are wrong.

You can build and make much more HP in a Ranger and still have GOOD mpg and MORE power.

I will take my 4 cyl toyota against your Dodge CUMMINS (cummings does not exist) in a quarter mile any day.

That being said the the 5.9 Cummins has lots of room for improvement! By changing the waste gate setting mechanical injector timing, and reprogramming the module major gains can be made! Better fuel efficiency and much more torque!

You are trying to compare apples and oranges. Both where built for totally different jobs, hence the inerrant differences.

if i could plow snow with a ranger i wouldn't need more power so i chose to have a '91 dodge as my main source of transportation and use the ranger for a hoopie.

Thanks for all the input guys. Well appreciated. I stepped down from a really strong 5.7L Suburban to this 2.5. That's less than half of the engine!!! I just wanted to see what was out there. I'm lovin the MPG'a though... I needed something smaller to drive around a college town. Its not easy parking a Suburban Plus, I dont pull that much weight anymore. Just my motorcycle and little things. Not anymore than 1000lbs.

some of the things we have done to the race truck.Has been bored 40 over, the head has been shaved 50.We run an adjustable cam gear, yellow top injectors,94 ranger stock tube header, cleaned up air box,K&N,We also run a liteweight clutch(wouldn't reccomend for the street). All the things we done were under $1000 and runs fine.Still stock cam,ECM,intake, fuel pump, rods, etc. We went from rear wheel hp of 85 to 106.still runs like stock, easy on gas and fun to drive.Heres a pic of our truck http://www.turn4photos.com/keyword/3...755_rBu4q-A-LB
