Default Re: Intermittent problem-cranks but won't start- 2.5L 5 spd manual

I burned a tank of gas with fuel injector cleaner in it. And have been starting it at least every 3rd or 4th day. So far no problems.

Other than those items, I have no idea what really made the change.

I talked with Steven_in_Toronto through PM, he gave me permission to share this about his case.

I have not driven my truck in the last few days, since i've been out of town. I'm going to continue to use fuel system cleaner every other tank of gas until i get this figured out. From there I will do the following until I fix it. Let's hope it's fixed before I get to step four.

1. fuel filter and check fuel pressure. it looks old and ready to replace.
2. inertia switch. I already ordered one from ebay and it was cheap enough.
3. fuel pump. while under it i have been told to look at the harness and connectors.
4. Gas can + truck + fire = boom, problem solved.

Did you test your inertia switch first before ordering a new one?

No, I didn't test it.
