2010 4 cyl 2.3L manual tranny w/reverse.

Where is the PCV valve located at and how do I swap in a new one?? is this a maintenance item that must be replaced like every 90 thousand miles or only if ranger gives problems....

its inserted between two hoses, one come from under neath the throttle body and then goes down the drivers side of the engine bay, that where its connect to another hose that goes down under the intake manifold. its that little plastic piece connecting the hoses.

maintenance item or change only if there is any problems??

might as well replace it, doesnt hurt any

any how to on how to replace it??? is it the one that looks to have this plastic retainer clip on IT??

It would be great if one of you guys would take a photo of the PCV valve, and post it, in place. Sometimes it's easier for people to visualize. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I had to take off the drivers side tire and fender well to get to mine. Was the easiest way. You pretty much have to go in from the side to get to it. As for replace or clean, I say check it first, if you dont need the truck for a couple days. If it needs replaced you won't find it at an auto parts store that won't have to overnight it. Will run you $25-$35.

to get to mine (99 4 banger) it's easiest to get your hands in there through the driver side wheel well.

funny, i figured somebody would chime in with the typical 'pcv valves are ALWAYS somewhere on the valve cover', but that is not the case for mine, at least. it sits on top of an 'oil separator' canister and is way below the valve cover.

on the 2.3l ranger its located on the driver side of the engine bay, to get to it follow the hose on the bottom of the throttle body, it should lead to the back on the intake and youll see a white plastic peice connecting the two hoses, and that is the pcv valve

i gots a question...
so, on your 2.3, where does the hose on the other end of the pcv valve actually connect to? the crank case?
