Anyone heard of this? It usually returns to normal after an oil change, but this time it didn't. I'll watch it go back up to halfway every now and then while driving, but it stays pretty low. Could it be the sending unit? Oil pump?
If it is the sending unit, any suggestions on a MECHANICAL replacement? Thanks!

9 times out of 10, widely fluctuating oil pressure is caused by worn main / rod bearings on a high mileage motors, It's not unusual to see small fluctuations in a good engine. In the many years I've worked on cars I have only had one oil pump that caused low pressure, and thats because of a weak pressure regulator spring.
