how about giving us ANY info on the truck in question.....

There's a couple different computers on these trucks......

The PCM(Powertrain Control Module) is located on the passenger side of the firewall's centerline. The style I've got pics of, you simply take a 10mm to the bolt, unclip connector, then there's two studs sticking out of the wall and you just remove the two nuts and presto! PCM is removed. Pictured below is an up to '06 style PCM....

PCM connector removed, leaving PCM in firewall....

Mkay....reuse your existing '91 harness, cut/transfer any different pigtails, sensors. Get wiring diagram books for both trucks to compare the connectors and wires to make sure they do the same thing. Do you even need to swap PCM's?

OBDI on the '91 and OBDII on the '96......don't think those PCM's are easily swappable...but I could be wrong.
