I have an 08 2.3, and whenever I have the vent or feet or any setting chosen other than the a/c or max or defrost, I hear and feel the compressor kick in. Anybody have that too?

thats normal on all ford vehicles

OK...well that's ridiculous when it comes to bein all about good gas mileage on commercials....
But after sitting in my truck listening, and switching the controls around, and lookin at my rpm needle, the a/c kicks on with all settings EXCEPT for vent to the face only, and to the feet only settings.

KINda makes sense.

I unplug my ac compressor in the winter time. I might hook it up once or twice during that time so the freon and lubricant can flow around some.
