Default trouble code

My truck runs fine but the ck eng light is on and the code points to an intake runner stuck open. Apparently this truck has a dual plane intake that closes off one path at low rpm's for increased torque. I assume it is vacuum operated and solenoid controlled.
My problem is that I can't find a diagram to show me where these components are located. If I cand find them it will be a simple thing to ck the sol and actuator.

search on youtube for "ranger imrc". There is a tutorial there on replacing the hoses that go the the IMRC contraol actuator. Hopefully it's just a dried out/cracked hose. The actuator itself cost me around $175.00

IMRC= Intake Manifold Runner Control

Thanks again guys for the vac diagram and the the tip for the tutorial. Watched the tutorial it was right on target. I dont know if that is going to fix my prob because I don't have any of the drivability probs that were mentioned. Think I will do the Seafoam trick too. I'll let you know how it works out.

When my IMRC actuator broke in half I drove the truck for 3-4 weeks while I tracked down the problem. No drivability problems at all. Good luck.

Yep, it turned out to be the vac line to the bottom of the solenoid. The link to the video was the answer for me.

really yeah when i saw the you tube viseo i thought my prayers were answered. but mine had a good lower vacuum hose and i tested it no leaks. btw that hose seems short i would put a longer one in there to avoid the problem down the road
