Default 4 cyl. Tune up

Does anybody know if there is away to change the spark plugs without taking everything apart. My 3.0 was very easy compared to my 2.5. Any tricks or tips would be appreciated.

It's not fun but possible. You will need socket extensions and a swivel. If you do not have these...buy them. You will also need to make sure you get the plug wires with the hooks. Did mine for the first time a few weeks ago...took about 90 minutes. Small hands help too.

For this job, you will want to use motorcraft or Autolite parts...nothing else or you will have problems. These 2.5's are picky.

Thanks for the advice I do use only Autolite. I just did my 3.0 last week and that was a breeze. This one is going to be tough. Do you go in on the side or from underneath?

The driver's side are basically just for emissions purposes, so I say if you live somewhere where they test there's no way around it, you'll have to do all 8. If you live somewhere where they don't test, just do the pass side ones, lol.

i did mine from the top, a 6" magnetic swivel spark plug socket along with a bother 6" extension will help greatly.
