engine swap questions
hey guys i have a question... there is a guy who is selling a rebuilt 93 2.3 engine from a 93 4 cylinder mustang...it has 6,000 miles on the rebuild.. it has the same 2 coil pack setup just like mine.. he is selling it because he is doing a 5.0 swap into his mustang...i was wondering would the block, oil pan and head fit into my 95 ford ranger... im replacing the old and tired engine in my truck because it has 231,000 on it.. here is a pic of the rebuilt engine
edit.... i found out that in 95 they added crankshaft position sensor..... so will the engine block work for me...

Re: engine swap questions
Aww poor guy jiji jk
Well as far as I know the engine mounts should be at the same place so I know that should fit as for oil pan rangers have a dbl sum pan for clearance idk about the 2.3 mustang engine And the crankshaft sensor wasn't added it 95...my 1990 has a crankshaft sensor as for the head if the block fits the head should too unless it's too tall but I doubt it. I think all you need to do is take a look at the engine and compare it to yours it might just fit except for transmission..hmmm that I Dnt know
Anyways how much is he selling it for? Well check out this website they sell used engines which are working completely
There is a 2.3 with around 100k. Miles for 700$ and free shipping or you can even buy one from a newer year for a direct fit.
----------
Oh and also 230k miles nice! But common man you can squeeze another 100k into it jajaja my 1990 has 273k miles original engine and tranny and still running strong just take good care they'll last forever

Re: engine swap questions
The 93 engine is different from your 95,crank sensor is different,ECM is different, head is different and it had less hp than your 95
