Default spark plug # and removal on 2.5 motor

Hello I have a 99 ranger 2.5L. I want to replace the spark plugs ( 8 ) but should I go with the pn that is recommended from motorcraft? Its just a stock truck that I use as a 3rd car. And what tool do you use to get the one's underneath the fuel injection manifold? It is very tight in their. I have heard nightmares on check engine lights coming on after removal /install of the FI manifold. thanks

+1 on motorcraft....... the plugs are easy to change........pulling and installing the wires is a total pita...........get the motorcraft wires with the hooks on them........
