I'm going to assume this is after you have the bolt off. I just pulled my whole engine apart on my 93 and it was all full of shmag and suction cupped on. Just slide a small flathead screwdriver behind it and it should pop loose. Also look into the hole and make sure the keyway is lined up with the key.

Sometimes they get stuck on there pretty good, you should be able to wiggle it back and forth to get it off.Sometimes you have to put a couple pry bars behind it and wiggle.Be careful, you don't want to bend the cover. Also on the 94,you can unbolt the pulley from the hub, that with give tou a little more room, should have 3 10mm bolts that hold that on.I have had to use a slide hammer to get them off

IF you have the bolt off, I just took a hammer to mine and lightly tapped around it, if that doesnt work, you will need to rent a balancer puller.

here is my VERY FIRST post on any forum of any kind when my belt broke on my old 94

I got the truck hme and took off everything needed to get the timing belt off...(fan, shroud, drive belt, harmonical balancer pully, and belt cover) then i got to the Here is the advice, and it WOERKED!

-to get the nut off the crankshaft, put the transmission into 5TH gear. apply parking break, and have someone to apply regular brakes (if no assistant available, block tires good), I think the nut on mine was a 22 mm, but im not sure. Then take a breaker bar or a regular rachet with a pipe over the end for more leverage. You need all the leverage you can get. I used a breaker bar with the 22mm on it. Stand on the passener side near front fender and with the bearker bar on the nut, have the bar over to the driver side as far as you can then pull on it as hard as you can!, mine started coming loose, then swoosh, it broke free, no problem! email me at dixie_boysles@yahoo.com if you used this information and it worked. goodluck!

Air tools work great if you can fit them. Or the breaker bar trick will do if you have help.

DO you have the bolt off yet? IF that's the problem, the other trick is dangerous but works. I AM NOT responsible for any damage done.

but take a breaker bar, place on the end of ratchet, place ratchet on the nut and wedge bar. Then BUMP the key in the ignition. DO NOT CRANK OR ALLOW TO TURN OVER. you just need the crank to spin for a split second to break the bolt loose.
