Angry chime keeps going off.. PLEASE HELP..

hello to all i am new to this site, i just got a 2002 ford ranger xlt 4 cyl...
so far i love my little truck... one thing is driving me crazzy the chime keeps going off
with or without wearing the seat belt... 5 chimes in sets of 5 then again in 30 mins...
any ideas i was told to look under the seat and disconect the wire... there is a wire but its not connected to anything (both passenger and driver side)..was thinking it may be the seat belt warning sensor. but i cant find it.. i do not have an owners manual.. tried buying the part book for my truck but i can not find one...
tried the wd40 no luck.... any suggestions would be greatly appretiated...
thanks

If that doesn't work it maybe your seat belt light behind the dash is burned out. Mine does that same beeping pattern and i found on an explorer forum that, that is what it might be. I haven't had the chance to change mine yet but hopefully this week.

The Restraints (airbag) Indicator Lamp is so important that Ford added an audible backup to warn you if it stops working. That is the 5x5 beeps that you hear after startup and later on. Repair the Restraints Indicator Lamp (most likely a bulb failure).

If the Restraints Indicator flashes after it's repaired, count the flash pattern and post it.

i took rwenzing's advice and just swapped over the ABS bulb with the airbag bulb when i chaning my cluster bulbs and it fixed the problem. if your gonna go thru all the work of taking the cluster out (which u have to do to get to the bulb) then you might as well do a cluster color swap. you get get pretty cheap bulbs on ebay just type in something along the lines of LED wedge bulbs
