Default Help me please!!!

Hi guys,
I got a little problem with my 2003 2.3L.
The other morning i went outside to start my pickup and it coughed at me like a backfire through the carb kinda thing, i proceeded to start and it immediately kicked over to about 2800rpm and started to come down. about the 1800rpm mark it started to get real rough and a misfire was apparent.
No engine codes yet but after changing the oil and the fuel filter the check engine did come on and gave me a p0301(misfire on #1) and p0116(misfire in first 1000revolutions).
Took of manifold checking for leaks, cleaned all the obvious sensors including all the butterflies, checked vacuum lines and replaced the injector for #1.
Ran a little bit better, still real rough. Went and returned plugs and wires bought in November and installed new ones... then a new coil pack... then a new IAC... Just put on a new $130 MAF about 30 mins ago for what seems apparent now was no reason.
I'm about out of ideas... Besides a new PCM($370) anyone have any ideas?
Please any suggestions welcome.

Maybe it's not with the motor..? PCM would be on the list but maybe its the fuel pump and starving the motor of fuel.. But I'm not sure. If ya figure it out be sure to let us know

Now now. Look at it this way. If you went to the front page and they all said help!!! Or help me!!! Or help me please!!!!! Or please help me!!!!! Would you read any of them. First of all you should be able to think of a title that somewhat describes the particular problem. Secondly it looks like you've already replaced a few things and spent some coin. I personally would take it to a respected mechanic with the proper shop and tools to diagnose and fix the problem. All you are doing is throwing money at it

I read anything that says help please.. why not? Isnt that what were here for and the meaning behind this forum? IMO if u cant give advice or dont know anything about it dont post your just wasting everyones time. As for rager.. some people do not have the money to take it to a shop and pay overpriced parts and 75 $ labor charges. If i could fix it i would before i make a last resort and take it to my shop.

I feel yeah, but $130 for the local ford mechanic to tell me what might be the problem...
Its heading into the shop tomorrow but i was able to just pull a p2195 after warming it up. That would make me think that i should check my fuel pump pressure. whats it supposed to be cant find it in my chilton. also that would make it run better at idle than at load, and while i was warming it up i pulled the wire on plugs 1&2 to check spark, looked exactly the same but ran the same with 1 unplugged as well as plugged. So there is still a misfire on #1.

And with all do respect there is a reason i posted in the 4cyl Tech section of the forum... Only reason i titled it "Help me please!!!" is because its been 4days, not the most money but i'm at my wits-end and need the truck for work.

Once again thank you to everyone trying to help me and i will definately post what it is when figured out.

I do too redline but less of the help me!! Would be nice. And I understand about mechanics being pricey and I too fix my own vehicles a mechanic only gets one of them when I am stumped.(with a Honda accord and a ranger he doesn't get much business from me) that was my advice cause from the first post it looks like he's already dropped 2 or 300 bucks into it with no luck.

Check the plugs, wires, and connection to coil pack? Clogged injector? bad MAF or TPS sensor? intake temp sensor is a long shot... uhhhh that's all I got right now I just got back and I'm fried out but look at that maybe.

Eh ive already tried all that...
Found a guy that'll diagnose it for free though and he looked to be a decent mechanic.

I don't help anyone that has not spent the time to create a detailed signature of their truck....I figure if they cant spend the time to help themselves why should I bother

I know what your issue is and it's not the ECU

Right bro, apparently modelA is a closet knowitall.
Turned out the plug that holds the butterfly rail in the bottom of the intake manifold fell out.
Just a little plug...
Whats the proper way to test for vacuum leaks?
