Question 1987 2.0 idle problems

I have a 1987 2.0 carb truck with 5 speed. It has been sitting for a year and I just bought it. I replaced the fuel pump and filter. Changed plugs and wires and changed the oil. I started it and it idles very high. how do I adjust the carb so that the idle with idle down? It sounds like it is going to take off. Also the gas pedal is very soft. If that helps.
