Default 1988 ford ranger 4 cyl carb

Hello i have a 1988 ford ranger 4 cylinder carb 5 speed.
Its starts up and runs...but after it runs for a little bit and warms up it falls on its face. Then it doesnt want to stay running.

Also it doesnt want to stay running unless you keep on the throttle.
It has a newer carbeurator also.

Can anyone help me?

----------

maybe need to adjust the carb?

thats what i would say or maybe your choke pull off isnt working and is leaving the choke closed causing it to die. thats what happened with mine or it may be to lean or rich?
