Have you felt the upper rad hose to see that it is hot?....these engine do run cool. Putting some cardboard in front of the radiator helps a little. what brand and temperature t-stat did you use. the recommended one is the motor craft 190-195. some people have had luck with the Stant.......if you have anything else take it out. and if you don't have one that is a minimum of 190 take it out....I assume you replaced the rad Cap?
