Yeah, that's got to be the most difficult PCV valve location I've ever seen. It doesn't need to be changed very often, but seeing what is going on at the PCV valve is a good place to start when diagnosing some engine problems.
Were you able to get the PCV valve changed, and if so, any tips on getting the retaining cap off?
