Default upper coolant hose/pipe removal

I have a 2003 ford ranger and 2 days ago my upper cooling pipe started leaking out all the fluid. It is attached to the ac comp. and the engine oil dipstick. It goes through the back of the engine and was wondering what the easiest way to remove it is. I'm not sure since it has two pieces if I can just pull off the metal part from the aluminum part and have it welded or if i have to buy the entire piece, it has the coolant temperature sensor on it as well. Please help
