I have an '87 el cheapo model with the 2000cc carbureted engine. The engine blew up a while back, and I now have a 2300 short block ready to go in except for a head. The 2.0 head doesn't seem to be a very good match. I acquired an '87 2.3 F.I. head, but it was cracked. I now have a line on a '95 head, but, I think that one will have 2 spark plugs per cylinder. Will it fit otherwise?? Can I just plug the wires on to one plug and ignore the other one?? Are the heads alike except for that? I still plan to run a carburetor. I have a manifold and carb off a '79 Fairmont. Thanks, Phil

no the carb intake will not work on the 8plug head...the intakes were diffrent for the 8plug and the carb/EFI 4 plug.... you need a 4 plug head, 1974 up will work oval or D port Mustang, ranger, pinto, fairmont should be your victims to look at, but swap in the roller cam from the 8 plug head
