No it is not being greedy. Your trying to save cash which is smart.

What all have you done so far?

I know my bed cover got me a few more miles when I added it.

I can pull 340 out of my tank of fuel, I'd love 600. But 340 is when I'm running freeway. I get 16 to 18 city and I have pulled 23 out of my Ranger on the freeway.

Few ideas for mods: tonneau for sure, go with a highway tread tire, maybe a slight lowering kit because it gives better air flow, synthetic oil helps, but not just in your engine put it in your rearend and transmission. Make sure you keep up on the maintenance.

Who in their right mind would want a 109hp 4x4!!??!?!? You'd need 4.88's to push 32's!

Sami's can have a 5:1 freakin' tcase! we're not talkin' sami, plus a 4x4 ranger would weight a good 1k MORE than a sami....

You asked who would want a 109hp 4x4, Suzukis have less, you didn't specify with aftermarket how it would do lol In which case you can probably build a divorced case setup that would make a 4cyl ranger 4x4 crawl like a Jeep Rubicon. Just not as fast by any means lol And a ranger would weigh at least 1k more than a Sami probably more like 1500.

My over all average MPG with my truck to date is 32.7.

My worst tank was 29 & my best was 36. Something.

No mods. Just a bone stock 2.3l 5spd
