Default 600 miles on 40$ of gas :(

dont know where to post this so here we go hope this is right spot.
i did the air box mod and put a flow master on my truck then put a drop in k&n filter.
first tank of gas's got like 580 miles out of it. second tank i got 614 miles on it !
half way thru 3rd tank and at 320 miles is this normal to get such gas milage out a truck? please let me know what you get so i can compare it to mine. oh and mine has like 3000 miles on the clock just about time for my first oil change is this normal, below, above average on the mileage?
and what should i use for oil? synthetics, a blend,or just oil?

For what it's worth, ya'll shouldn't really be going off of miles per tank....such a big variable of when you filled up, when the nozzel stopped, etc...

should be using miles per gallon.

i set the trip gauge to 0 when i fill up and usually run it till the gas light comes on then take the gallons right off the pump ? unless some dickhead told me wrong????????
