How can I tell which 4 cylinder engine I have?
Ok. I've had 2.3s before but the oldest I've had is a 91. I just bought an 87 4 cylinder. Its carbureted. I'm not sure which engine it is though... The last owner was adamant it was a 2.3L, but I'm not so sure.... Is there a way for me to figure out whether its a 2.0 or a 2.3? There are no markings, stickers, etc anywhere that Ive seen under the hood...

Ok I figured it out... i just ran the VIN and then looked at a couple pictures just to make sure. 2.0!

Just for future reference the engine code is the 8th digit in the VIN
