You will need the new thermostat, a wood chisel (to clean the old gasket material off the mating surfaces), the new thermostat housing gasket, a 10mm socket, extension, and wrench (torque wrench is recommended).

Front of the motor right by the camshaft.
Clean mating surface on thermostat housing and the area where the thermostat mounts to the motor.
- Remove old thermostat and mount new thermostat in housing the same way the old one was in there.
- Apply (red) gasket maker (high temp gasket maker used for water pumps, thermostat housings, etc) to the thermostat side of the gasket and apply gasket to the thermostat housing.
- Apply (red) gasket maker to the motor side of the new thermostat gasket.
- Carefully insert thermostat housing onto motor (using the bolts as a guide) and torque bolts evenly to 120 inch-pounds
