Thumbs down Starter Problems

OK..so 8 months ago my starter died so i bought a new one at pep boys. Installed and it worked like a champ until 3 weeks ago.
Seeing as its under warranty i got my $ back and bought a new one at the kragen or O'rilley whatever...anyway after three weeks the new new starter is dead too so i was wondering if there was maybe a problem with the ignition wires that kill the starters i dunno its a stupid question but i might as well throw it out there.
Thanks..Any help is appreciated

Check the grounds to it and the positive wire. If it's shorting it out, then the starter is getting unregulated voltage.

Have you tested the starter out of the vehicle? Tried jumping the wiring at the solenoid?

Sounds like could be a ground issue but you have to also remember Kragen, Checker, Vatozone, Pep Boys etc etc products are not as good an an old OEM. I used to always put their parts on our vehicles and started to realize I constantly change the same part. Now I bite the bullet on the OEM cost and put only Ford parts from Ford. It hurts the wallet book but....

That's not how voltage works. If the positive wire was shorting to ground, it would be on fire and the voltage would drop to zero. If the ground was shorting to ground, well nothing would happen because it is already ground. There is no such thing as "unregulated voltage" in this situation.

I believe that the ground wire wasn't making good contact with the ground which can give you a floating voltage according to how much amps you pull

I know how voltage works. I was saying to check the wires. I never said they were grounding out. The guy below said it in English.

That's the total opposite of what you said, but perhaps what you meant to say. Shorting out, which would be to ground, which is "grounding out", is not the same as having a poor connection at a terminal. In fact it is quite the opposite.
